Founded by Anoushka Sadarangani in 2021 and introduced to gracious patrons in 2022, Anousshka began as a sustainable hemp-focused label rooted in conscious fashion. Over time, the brand evolved into a celebration of Indian textiles like Ajrakh, Bandhani, and Ikat — reimagined through a modern couture lens. Today, we create pieces that feel deeply personal, timeless, and crafted to honour individuality.
Anoushka, the founder and creative heart behind the brand, has always believed that fashion should be as thoughtful as it is beautiful. After studying Fashion Buying and Merchandising in University of the Arts London, she returned to India with a renewed perspective on style, craftsmanship, and responsibility.
Seeing the need for conscious yet timeless fashion back home, she set out to create Anousshka — a label rooted in sustainability, individuality, and Indian heritage. What began with plant-based and hemp fabrics gradually evolved into a deeper exploration of traditional textiles like Ajrakh, Bandhani, and Ikat, reimagined through a modern and couture-inspired lens.
Holding closely to her sustainable values, Anoushka creates pieces designed to last beyond seasons — garments that feel personal, versatile, and deeply connected to the artistry of Indian craftsmanship. Every silhouette carries the soul of heritage while embracing effortless modern elegance, making each piece timeless in its own way.

The brand is named after our founder, Anoushka Sadarangani. It’s a personal reflection of her vision to create clothing that is intimate, thoughtful, and timeless — pieces that carry her creative signature.
The name Anoushka (or Anoushka) has Slavic and Sanskrit roots and translates to “grace” or “favor”. It’s also associated with warmth and elegance, qualities the brand stands for.
